Prior to joining Somerset, Kevin was a partner in the tax practice of a Big Four firm, where he provided international tax services for several industries. He has significant experience consulting on U.S. and state tax issues for service organizations engaged in finance, law and health care. He oversees Somerset's international inbound and outbound tax practice, including expatriate services for U.S. executives from around the world. The professionals he oversees are fluent in Chinese, Japanese and Spanish.
Kevin serves as Somerset's liaison with the international network of BDO (the world's fifth-largest accounting firm) and its Alliance firms. He also supervises the firm's Accounting Services Standard 740 computations and assists its industry group specialists in obtaining private letter rulings and representation before the U.S. Tax Court and other tax authorities.
A frequent guest lecturer for various educational institutions and business organizations, Kevin's articles have been featured in national publications.
